At the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • Learn what preventive strategy should be used to identify and monitor neonates at risk of developing severe hyperbilirubinemia.
  • Review how hyperbilirubinemia should be managed, and how infants should be monitored during treatment of hyperbilirubinemia.
  • Review how follow-up of infants treated for hyperbilirubinemia should be conducted after hospital discharge.
